Made a rag quilt

SO i actually finished a rag quilt for a friend of mine that is having a little boy. Mommy and Daddy love Texas A&M so that is the theme. i love it. I really need to add some pictures to this blog.

I just wanted to update that i actually made a quilt with batting and everything. I adore it and really looking forward to start a gigantic one for our king size bed. That will probably take a LONG time but be so worth it! I want to put an owl on it.... i'm not exactly sure how i'm going to design the rest of it. I am just thinking on my side of the bed i will put a cute owl near the foot... the rest is yet to be thought of.

Learning to use my sewing machine...

I have had a lot of fun learning to use my sewing machine I have had for about 8 years! I participated in making dresses to go to an orphanage in Vietnam. That was probably the most productive thing I have really done with the machine.

I did make myself a shirt which was AWESOME. :) I should post a picture of it. That would be fun. I have stoned some shoes for a friend and a stranger with crystals. I really liked doing that. I will probably post some pictures of that too. They came out really good.

I have also been through rough patch emotionally lately. I am restless with my hearts desires. I am really struggling to find an inner peace. I have prayed about it and hope that I will actually let go of my troubles and let God work out the details for me.

One of the things I am doing to feel better is dieting, which is going pretty well actually. So far in about two weeks I have lost a little over 10lbs. Which i'm truly happy about... So that is a  giant leap toward inner peace for Debbie...
